Spring Competition Excellence Grade < WenShan Bao Zhong Cha >

$19.00$100.00

Wen Shan Baozhong or ‘paper tea’ got its nickname from its original curing process : the leaves were wrapped in paper envelopes to dry.

The brittle, twisted strands of this Baozhong are intensely dark but yield a beautiful pale green liquor that dons a distinctly herbal perfume, interlaced with a bit of orchid. Though the first sips are incredibly sweet, its taste patterns unfold quite quickly into an elaborate mix that stays gently green and sweet, with a little touch of melon in between.

The superior quality of our Wen Shan Baozhong lies not only in its elaborate taste but also its generosity. This tea will last you many brewing rounds, maintaining its surprisingly intense sweetness and that peculiar briskness so unique to this type of tea.
