Lishan or Pear Mountain is one of the highest tea-growing regions in Taiwan, producing top-notch quality oolongs that have become a standard of reference in oolong teas. Lishan oolong is a grand tea in all respects, the tightly rolled leaves intensely green from top to stem that yield an exquisite gold-and-green liquor breathing its own mountain mist.
The delicate roast is already apparent in its scent, which is marked by an unmistakable feel of hazelnut. Moderately brisk, Lishan combines the entire spectrum of Taiwanese oolong into one, mixing hazelnut, honey and fragrant rose laced with mineral freshness. A complex yet soothing, sweet taste that lasts throughout many, many brews.
